Aliya Mission Statement

“As a high school exchange student program, our vision and goals were designed to benefit our participants culturally and educationally in an environment to achieve a better understanding of our differences in our world community. Bringing America and Israel Together, One Life at a Time”.

 
Philosophy

Students participating in the Aliya exchange student program are granted a unique opportunity to increase their intercultural knowledge and understanding of language, geography, history, science, political, and economic systems.  The learning of such subjects in the Aliya program is unique due to the fact that the students will be completely immersed in a culture that is different from their own, learning on a twenty-four hour per day basis through observation and experience.   

  Students participating in the Aliya student exchange program will complete a one day preparation/orientation course in Israel or the U.S.A. before departing for their exchange experience. The qualified staff of Aliya will provide the day long Cultural Orientation.

  Aliya and its staff are committed to serving all participants involved in our program with the utmost quality and care.  As a team, we will continually take steps to refine and improve each and every aspect of the program to ensure that the Aliya exchange experience is one that will be both rewarding and beneficial to the future of all who participate.

  Our staff's priorities are to find the best qualified students and extremely highly qualified host families to reach the students educational, personal, and language goals with host families with similar common interests.  We pride ourselves with the abilities and experience necessary to present all parties with the security and peace of mind that they are going to be safe, comfortable and have the support of the Aliya Staff to counsel the students and families to fulfill a lasting and rewarding experience.
 

 
Aliya Executive Director

Executive Director: Responsible for overall operation of Aliya; Recruiting, hireing, and training Home Country Local Area Representatives; Grants final approval for international students; Responsible for overseeing and conducting all international students arrival preparation and orientation meetings; Matches international students with appropriate host families; Evaluates students’ performance on a monthly basis; Assists students and host families with concerns.  Responsible for maintaining and updating Aliya’s computer systems and software, web pages, and internet reports for Home Country Local Area Representatives, Local Area Representatives, and Natural Families; Oversees Aliya bookkeeping and accounting; processes international students’ applications.

 
Administrative Director

Administrative Director: Corporate office administrator; Oversees office duties; Assists in the placement process of students; communicates with schools, host families, and Aliya Local Area Representatives; Maintains all school, host family, and student records; Reports to Home Country Local Area Representatives and natural families.

 
Program Development Director

Program Development Director: Responsible for marketing and developing the growth and direction of respective Country domestically; recruiting, hireing, and training Local Area Representatives; specializes in cultural adjustment and supplies ongoing support and assistance to Local Area Representatives; Selects and approves host families.
